I have been coveting the Needlework Garden Lampshade from Anthropologie. It is gorgeous and has such intricate details. I LOVE. However, every time I go in the store I end up walking out empty handed.
With lamp shades in mind I was searching Pinterest and came across the blog A Couple of Craft Addicts and this simple Lamp Shade makeover. I loved how they took a simple lamp shade and used fabric flowers as embellishments.
Enter this burlap lamp shade from Target. I love the texture and thought that the fabric flowers would give it a nice pop of color.
I followed this great rolled fabric flower tutorial from My Sparkle.
It was SO easy!
All I needed was long scraps of fabric, fabric glue and scissors.
I then started glueing and rolling.
Piper was peeping out my progress. I think she approved.
Check out the final product. I am super happy with how it turned out and it cost a mere $15.99 versus the $128 Anthropologie price tag!
